Sashiko Repair

Denim, duck canvas, and other long-lasting fabrics can be easily repaired by stitching a piece of fabric behind the tear.

Here we have a pair of vintage Levi’s selvedge 501s and a pair of vintage Dickies.

The Dickies were repaired with a stack of vintage kimono fabric that has been reinforced with sashiko stitching by a Japanese artisan.
