1950s Green Workwear Khakis

I purchased this pair of 1950s khakis from As Is Vintage on Instagram. They are a size 40 waist, so I decided to wear them oversized with suspenders.

The main repair was on the back pocket.

I incorporated a linen patch with a woodblock print by Emme Monique at Marmot Press on the back pocket repair.

The other main repair was one of the knees.

I reinforced the knee with some vintage Japanese fabric.

For the suspenders, I sewed on vintage buttons. I purchased a used pair of Coach leather suspenders on eBay.

For the sashiko repairs, I used 100% cotton thread by Dan Doh, purchased at Birdhouse Yarns in Tucson.
